Is relief currently flowing through my body? Yes, it is. Why, you may ask. Because I am officially done with all forms of school work for the semester. No more readings. No more homeworks. No more presentations. No more papers. And no more finals.
So as you can probably guess from that, I had my last final today. It was German. It wasn't too bad. Could have been worse for sure. After that final, we had a few different ceremony-type things in which we watched a slide show of pictures from the semester, heard a few speeches, and had a reception-type thing. We also exchanged secret-santa gifts. Muj gave me some awesome chocolates. And I gave him his Schwarzwald cards. So that was cool. And we basically just said farewell to most of our professors and the staff and such. Now I'm back in my room before having one last get-together with almost everyone from our program.
I spent a good amount of time yesterday packing and cleaning. So I'm actually mostly packed and my room is mostly clean. I just have to do one final sweep of everything and pack everything else up into my backpack, and then I'm ready to go. I have nothing to do tomorrow really. I will probably just hang out with people for most of the day. Anyway, there is not much else to update on. This will perhaps be my last blog update from Germany, as I'm not sure I'll have a chance tomorrow and then my train leaves early Friday morning.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone back at home, but I am definitely going to miss some of the people here in Freiburg. It's like I have built up all these relationships and inside jokes and such with all of these people, and then starting on Friday I will probably never see most of them again in my life. Really depressing to think about, but probably true. Anyway, I've got a lifetime of pictures and memories that will always stay with me.
