But it's OK, because I know when I'll be back again. Anyway, my bags are almost packed. I just need to pick up my dress pants from the tailor tomorrow, and then I'm pretty much set.
I'm flying IcelandAir, and I got an insanely cheap one-way ticket. But I still need to book a ticket back home. But that will sadly not be as cheap. And unfortunately, it appears as though my return flight might be routed through Dallas/Fort Worth. Lame. Because basically that is a 12 hour flight by itself. Followed by another 3 hour flight to MSP. But we'll see what happens. I probably won't book my return flight until October or so.
The last few days have been a little crazy trying to see as many people as possible to say good-byes. We had a family barbecue today, and it was good to see everyone there. But I think that is all for now. I will hopefully be writing about my flight and first few hours/days in Germany sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday.
P.S. The last dinner I had in the US consisted of crackers and frosting. Although I did have corn dogs and Pasta Roni for fourth meal.
